In Florida, the community colleges call the placement test the Florida CPT or the Florida college placement exam.

Miami Dade Community College is one of the largest community colleges in Florida that requires the CPT.

Broward College and Valencia College have started to use the PERT Test.

The state of Texas administers the TSI (Texas Success Initiative) as their placement test for college students.
